We often talk of dividing as being the reverse of multiplying, and indeed when dividing fractions this is the case. The way you divide fractions is very similar to the way fractions are multiplied with a simple twist in the middle.
Using times tables is simple. Practice multiplying the 2’s, 5’s, and 10s first, then the doubles (6 x 6, 7 x 7, 8 x 8). Next, move to each of the fact families: 3’s, 4’s, 6’s, 7s, 8’s, 9’s, 11’s, and 12’s. Start by doing one sheet and see how long it takes you to complete it. Do not worry about how many right or wrong answers you get the first time you complete a worksheet. You will get faster as you become better at multiplying. Do not move to a different fact family without first mastering the previous one.
A way to address this is to learn how to compare fractions and find common denominators so that two fractions can be numerically compared clearly. The worksheets on this page provide exercises to do exactly that, and they are good practice for the steps necessary for other fraction operations.
For practicing some math skills like simple addition, there is just nothing more effective than a pencil and paper. These math worksheets start with simple addition (one-digit) math facts and progress to adding 2-digit numbers in columns. No regrouping is included in out grade 1 exercises.
